Finally found one for ol' dad, and it was local. Well, local gs ordered what he said was the last stainless/synthetic 77/22 at the factory. Who knows if that was part of the "must have" sales pitch.
Used ones were super rare in these parts and the prices were so high. Gun shop sold it for 25% off msrp including tax; dad has been wanting one for a long time. He's a huge Ruger rifle guy and this will make for a great birthday gift (no more coffee mugs or cake of the month certificates, ha).
