Greetings All,

I just purchased my first Ruger this past weekend... a used stainless GP100 with the 6" barrel. When I bought the gun, it had a full rib B-Square scope mount on it.

I wanted to return it to the OEM sight set-up... so I proceeded to remove the B-Square set-up. Everything was a breeze until I tried to remove the anchor pin in the front sight plunger hole. It appears to be stuck in there.

I read the B-Square installation instructions online and it seems like the anchor pin should slide in and out very easily. It may have slid in easily, but I can not get it out.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Jim

Someone may have peened it a bit to ensure it would not budge...spray it with WD-40. Wait a day. Push it out. In short - There shouldn't be anything else in there that could be causing problems.

Always push from left side out the right side when removing.

I may have miscommunicated the issue... the anchor pin actually fits into the small hole above the muzzle - not in the machined slot in the ribbing.

The anchor pin is in the hole that the plunger pin and spring are put when using the OEM front site.

The anchor pin from the B-Square kit is somehow 'wedged' into the hole and is not budging.

Thoughts to get it out?

Make shore ya got the pin pushed in far enuff & lift the rear of the mount , also I`ve took a heat lamp & warmed the muzzle to remove some sites that were stuck.

Some sites I`ve actually pryed from the slot .
