I have a fine 77/357 which I will be posting for sale. I live in Romania, where pistol caliber long guns are not legal to possess. I will be visiting the U.S. next week and will take some pics of the carbine, which is in storage with my brother. I installed the barreled action in a walnut stock. It has been shot some, but never hunted. I don't remember any dings in stock or metal. It will not include the scope, but will include a NECG receiver sight and either 1 or 2 extra magazines. with a scope the rifle is a consistent 1.5 MOA shooter with hand loads. Some groups have been 1" and a bit over. My best loads were using VV powder and Hornady 158 grain bullets. I have an Idea of what I think it is worth, but I would like the opinion of others. I will be advertising it on this and another forum classifieds. Thanks, RJ

$600 American is the lowest I've seen for like new used, gun alone. $700 and up for NIB. I have one stainless synthetic but want a walnut factory stock like yours. I like stainless in walnut, too.

That is a very nice 77/357 with that walnut stock and considering they aren't making them any more I would think that your gun should command a good price, something like $750 - $900 on the market today and maybe even higher in the future.

I have a 77/357 which I like a lot and I'm sorry you have to sell yours. Worse, Ruger has stopped the 77 line and I believe the values will probably increase a bit faster. I have a track on the model.

Ruger 77/357 Rifle in .357 Mag. Blue Book of Gun Values (37th Edition) indicates between $450 in 95% condition and $775 in 100% condition for this gun. I have 65 recorded prices for this model gun from $500 to $918 over a period of 4 Yrs 2 Mos ending May 15, 2017. The average price as of that date was $686. No refurbs, no refinishes, regular sights. All represented as 95% or better. No distinction for import location or engineering revision, if any, no special editions, no distinctions for box, papers, tools. Current or last MSRP is $999. The last 10 prices I have for this model since 4/16/2017 range from $675 to $875 averaging $779.

Good luck with the sale.

The 77/357 is back in production. It's listed on Ruger's web site with a synthetic stock and an MSRP of $999 so the older ones are't going to be as collectable as many owners had hoped.

I'm glad to see they are back, just hope the quality is still there. I have a NIB synthetic stock SS 357 and would like to add the 44 as well.
