ABSOLUTELY!

I think it is time to go back to the way things used to be:
~ You assault an LEO - - - You get a beat down.
~ You injure an LEO - - - You end up in the hospital.
~ You shoot an LEO - - - You end up in the cemetery.

That would "cure" most, or possibly all, of our "peaceful protestors",
yet still allow protests.

An old friends name was added to the Oregon Police Memorial this year. He was struck by a car while standing along side a freeway in 2001 Two other cops were killed near him. He survived in a coma until last year. The driver claimed he feel asleep and his car left the freeway where they where standing. I worked with 4 total who died in vehicle crashes over 39 years. For many years the FBI yearly report on police "on duty" deaths involved about 1/3 being killed in traffic crashes. It has been a sharp increase in police deaths by assaults' in the last 8 years or so. Since, that number has gone up about another 1/3. Baring the 911 event, each year the number was around 200, last I read it's now over 300.
