Gentlemen,
I managed to find a Rare New Model BN-414L, .41 Mag Flat Top.
There were 125 made, Serial #48-43957. This gun was covered by Chad
in his RENE article on NM FT's. This gun compliments my Two S-416N
FT's Serial #'s 87-79778 & 87-79811 which is one of the 12 known guns
without any "warning rollmark" on the barrel.
The ultimate find in the .41 Mag FT's would be a S458N with an 87- prefix
only Five made!!!

My thanks to fella forum member seebs who sold me the gun. He is a man of his word and a pleasure to deal with. Hope to do it again!!!
Terry

Nice find, Terry!

I bought one from seebs when these first came out and, you're right, top notch guy to deal with.

Your 87-79778 would be a nice complement to my 87-79776 and 87-79777 :D

Im have to admit the BN-414L do look nicer than the s416n and I tend to like longer barrel for some odd reason.

Hey Ale, only one problem....I only do Old Model's....I don't even do the "Old Model New Models"   I have a hard enough time with all the early model designations.......let alone all the New stuff that keeps popping up.......I think I will wait 40 years and start collecting then    I like a REAL CHALLENGE :D :D :D see ya RR.

You mean to tell me that I currently have 1/4 of all the 41 Magnum flattop S-416N guns that were made without a roll mark on the barrel!!! And they seem to have made them all in a row. Oh how I love the 41 magnum!! Check out the different grip screw in the 87-79807 gun. It was the thrid one I got but has a different test fire date than the other two.

By the way, I need some of those short barrel guns too. Too many guns, too little money. I really like your example.

Yep!! Everything reported from 87-79802 thru 87-79814 has No
rollmark at all on the barrel. In all likelyhood no more than 14 guns
total.

Nice Set of Triplets you have there!!!!

Thanks, Now If I could find 87-79810 and talk you out of that 811 gun, I would have pretty good hand!!!

Then the search for those short guns. Man, why did I ever buy a new model?? I can't keep up.

The 811 gun is on gun broker in picture only. You don't receive that revolver it is just a picture of one.
Those are the sellers that get your money then try to find the gun and ship it to you. Delivery is a week or more on them.

Thanks T.A. Workman and BigBore45Colt for the nice words. Just to let everyone know I do have more BN-414L's available.

Also, what is the deal with the new Vaqueros in 44 Special. Is any collectors looking for them? I haven't seen alot written about them.

Mike

When the last Red Eagle News Exchange came out it was known that Lipsey's would be coming with them, but not what they'd end up looking like. Seems like Ruger is marking these New Vaqueros with a rollmark on the left side of the cylinder frame that says only "VAQUERO".
Pretty sure Ruger had no intention of doing this...a big goof on their part. But now, will any of the 4 models from Lipseys ever be marked New Vaquero???
