I shipped all my over 10 round mags to my father in Fl. WHen NY passed(in th emiddle of th enight) S.A.F.E. Act and made them illegal. I had an unfired FNX9 that came with 3 13 round mags that I couldn't even fire because they didn't make 10 round mags. also kept 20+ AR mags made before the first ban.

Here In IL we have a new law going into effect, unless a successful court challenge changes that, that will make all magazines capable of holding more than 10 rounds illegal. It will be interesting to see the rate of compliance and non-compliance. I would guess that few owners of semi autos that came standard with a magazine of more than 10 had gone out and purchased a 10 round version, just in case this NY and CA type restriction ever came here. I think the anti-gunners are delusional if they really think this will make "mass shootings" less common or less lethal.

I’m in Mass and we have a 10 round limit. I purchased and installed “magazine blocks” on Amazon to limit capacity to 10 rounds. Not really sure if they’re legal or not, some say they have to be epoxied in place. I only use them at the range. When I carry I use an unmodified 10 round mag. Personal defense gun in the house has a 15 round mag I forgot to modify.
