Few month ago I bought new Wrangler revolver same day on the range I noticed keyholing and mailed revolver back to Ruger, 2 weeks later they called me and said that technician deemed that revolver unrepairable and offered to get replacement but I said I don't want any more Wranglers around my stable.

So customer rep said I can add $ and get any other firearms at distributor price. I said now we talking .... and picked distributor exclusive model but rep said no no no it have to be regular production model. So I picked Single Six Hunter you know with the long barrel ....

6 month later ....... I still don't have my replacement so I send an email to Ruger corporate, that same day I got a call back with apologies and explanations that coming out of COVID takes time etc etc. So this time they agreed to let me pick dealer exclusive model and cover my expanses related to registering and transfer this firearms. I picked this Vaquero Birdshead in 45acp and got it 2 weeks later, in the end of they day I paid less then $500 for it. Very happy with outcome

Sorry the Wrangler didn't work out for you.

But you won the mother lode with this .45 revolver. I have the same one and it is a remarkable shooter.
exactly great shooter it is. I thought short barrel and birdshead would be a good carry gun but it's remarkably accurate at 30 ft
