My "New" Ruger - Part II

There's two sides to every Ruger, so here's both sides of this one. It came home with me today. A Super Blackhawk with some Jay Scott pearls on it, made '64-'65...haven't gotten the Ruger letter on it back yet. Photographed with Hornady Critical Defense .44 Special cartridges with 165 gr bullets.

Yes, it has some small scratches on it, and some holster wear on the muzzle, sight blade, and rear sight. Do I care? What would your first guess be?

Sweet OM! Hard to beat the quality and attributes of the early Supers at realistic prices. My 4 digit '62 vintage all steel version ranks right up there in my collection with the Colt Python, Smith 27, and 24, SAA, etc. Darn good sixgun. Enjoy!

And it's "ripening" nicely, too! Wonder if we're ever going to be able to buy a Ruger with a "factory plum job" right from the store? Neat cannon.

Yeah, there's gettin' to be a bit of plum on it, but I don't mind that any more than I mind the little signs of wear and use on it. Although this gun's obviously been someone's shooter, it's in good shape...and it'll be a shooter for me, too.

Looks good to me :D It doesn't have to worry about breakin a nail while it's out working either
