Some years ago I had this nifty little package put together. I and other family members have hunted with it and taken some game. It always gets some extra looks whether at the range or at hunt camp. Thought I'd share some pics.

I think it's pretty cool too! Not factory construction; I picked up the action minus barrel on this forum some years ago. At the time a local gunsmith, now retired, did nice work and appreciated the Ruger iron.

I had a new Douglas barrel made to the RSI profile, chambered in 260 Remington. Gunsmith put all the bits and pieces together making a nice little unique rifle.

I had a couple more rifles made at the time:

M77 RSI in 6.5x55 (tang safety, before Ruger/Lipsey offered it)

No. 1 RSI in 35 Whelen

The 'smith did it right - they are all good shooters.

I've got a factory Hawkeye RSI In 243, 260, and 30-06.
All grey stainless and walnut.
As soon as I learn to post pics here, I'll get a family shot.
