I did my first one the other day on my 3" .357. Polished the areas suggested by a youtube guy that I could actually watch and listen to, (Santaroga Surplus I think), replaced the trigger return spring with the Wolff reduced power unit, but left the stock hammer spring in it. I carry it daily and figure I didn't really want the DA pull too light, plus the gun tends to get exposed to chainsaw chips, dirt, etc so reliable ignition was a priority. There were no drag marks on the hammer or trigger but I shimmed them anyway, hopefully I haven't created any problems there.
The result was a surprisingly creep free trigger in both single and double action, that was noticeably lighter but not super light. I'll have to go check my notes to get the before/after readings, but seat of the pants readings check good. I pulled the trigger repeatedly as fast as I could and had no reset issues, but I'm no Jerry Mikulek. Next to my much newer 4" .327 there's no comparison. I think I will do that one next, using a slightly reduced power hammer spring for comparison's sake, since I don't carry the 4" gun.
