My first job?

While visiting my brother down in L.A. he gave me this old shoe shine box. When I turned it around and looked at one of the sides, it said...well see the picture. Has to be from the late 40's or early 50's.
While I was going through everything in the box, I ran across a knife. My daughter in law said it belonged to her father, but that I could keep it. Anybody recognize the manufacturer. It has nothing to identify it.

I think it might be an Imperial Stiletto. Being unmarked it's just an educated guess.

Good Guess. I went to their web site and saw those "stubs" sticking out from the middle of their knives.

I have one almost like it. The blade is marked "Colonial Prov. USA".

Look again. I collect knives and have never seen one unmarked.

No marks anywhere. FYI: My first knife was a Colonial, bought when I was in the Boy Scouts back in the '50's. Sorry, no pic. Gave it to my oldest son.
