My wife bought me a new Ruger Commander for Christmas, but until today I haven't really had a chance to shoot it a lot...nice pistol, sights dead on out of the box...but, I just don't like the grips..not sure why either...

I put 100 rounds through it today, no malfunctions at all. It was great..but I think I'm going to swap out the grips with some others I have, Alumigrips, smooth Hogues, diamonwood etc....I think I even have some rubber Hogues that are thin..

What a great pistol though..

I love the factory ones on mine. Funny how we used to buy a pistol and change out things to end up with one like the stock Ruger LWC. Now we have a factory piece that's set up perfectly IMO and guys still are not satisfied.

The last commander pistol I bought was a les Baer and I like my new Ruger better. It's as accurate as the Baer too. And costs about 1/3 what the Baer cost. All I did was put it in a simple scabbard for belt carry. Ruger hit it just right on this one.
