I bought one in 1964. Picked beans, strawberries and slung hay all summer on farms
all over the county to get the money for it. I was 15 and I'm 74 now and still have it.
One of the best .22 semi-auto's I've ever owned. Head shots on squirrel, rabbit and even
doves are the rule rather than the exception. Lost it in the river once running from the
Game Warden. He seemed to think I was on the wrong side of the river. Went back
several times swimming before I found it. Shook the water out of it, put fresh ammo in
and it shot all 14 rounds. Took it home, poured 3 in 1 oil in it, let it drain and it's
still shoots every time still today. Never has been taken apart to clean and it's had
thousands upon thousands of rounds thru it.
Never owned another .22 until the mid 90's other than Granddad's old Stevens
falling block .22. That was given to me when I was 12.
