Here are some pics of my 5 1/2 " stainless Accusport Bisley Blackhawk. I got a great deal on it a couple years ago from some guy who was getting divorced and needed cash. Also I've included a pic of my woods carry and deer hunting load. A hard cast 45-270-SAA semi-wadcutter over a healthy charge of HS-6.

Your revolver is beautiful :!: I have never seen one quite like it. I especially like the grips. Must be rosewood?
My Bisley is the blued one, 7 1/2" barrel, with the darker hardwood grips. I bought it new, in 1986, and paid

- get this -

$199 for it!

Wow! Have times changed or what?

Mine sees a steady diet of 340 grain SSKs over 20.0 of H110. I've shot some of the biggest handguns out there but find that load to be all I'd ever need from a revolver.

I have that same model and I cast for that boolit. How much HS-6 are you dropping?
I went with the convertable .45 Bisley. It has become my favorite shooter out of all my SA Bisleys. I feed it 13.0gr of HS-6 with a 255gr SWC. But now that I'm casting my own I plan on feeding it the same 13.0gr HS-6 but with a 270gr RCBS SAA clone hollow point boolit. I may try some H110 with the same boolit in the future.
My other .45 Colt which is a SBH Bisley Hunter 7 1/2" I shoot BTB 330gr WFN PB boolits over 22.0gr H110.
I love the Bisley grips! If it wasn't for those grips I wouldn't own an SA.

I am rather fond of mine and load it with the Keith #454424 over 20 grs. 2400.

Nice Bisleys!

Rugerbilly, it's amazing how times change. I bought a new 77 in 7x57 in 1985 for $275.

Lee Martin, I love those gray grips!

Lefty SRH, 13.5 grains of HS-6 for about 1100fps.

Tom Black, very nice pistol. What kind of velocity does that load produce?

That HS6 load is a good one.
Have 4 rugers that gets feed a steady diet of the same load and bullet combination.

Run the same load through a 1894 Marlin. Velocity is higher but get a fantastic SD of only 8!

Ron,
I have a chronograph but haven't had it out in years. I guess I need to drag it out and test some of my loads.

Best Ruger made in that set up, certainly a great big bore, and probably covers all a man needs in a non custom platform.....just my opinion of course.

That 270SAA has become my go to bullets for plinking to hunting the mighty wapiti...I'd say your very well heeled.

I want this gun! Does anybody know of any online dealers who stock this?
