Mosin-Nagant collectors

I purchased a M91/30 recently made in 1939 in the Tula arsenal. I know there are some forum members who also collect the Mosin-Nagant rifles, so I have a few questions.

-Good source of info online?
-Any good forums?
-Anything super rare that I need to jump on if I find one?

Do you plan to reload?? BE SURE to first tighten stock screws, as these are loose. hth greg

The first is a great forum like this one with alot of helpful people. And the last is a great info site for ammo to all the models.

As for rare, check out the last site. The finnish reworks are highly sought after. And certain years are hard to find.

If you have a C&R licence, SOG ( Southern Ohio Guns) is a good place to find those at wholesale prices.
I read an Americian Rifleman story that praised the Finnish Nagants.
I see some of these in my near future.

Great Info here!

The Mosin 91 series are so accurate, partially I believe due to the two-piece bolt allowing the bolt head to not interfere with lockup perpendicularity.

So how many do you have??? Best accuracy yet?

I have been looking for an M44 to keep my M91/30 company. Do not see many around for sale here in MA.

They're not a dime a dozen here in KY either, but they appear at gun shows fairly often. Gave $150 for mine a few months ago.

Thanks for dredging this old post up....I've since sold my 91/30, but now I think I may want another! My Grandpa has an M38 that I could probably talk him out of for a good price 8)
