A while back I posted some results at my first attempt in making my own gunleather. I must say this hobby is extremely addicting. :D I just finished up my second belt and holster combo, added a cartridge slide and knife sheath as well. Not professional by any means, but practical and very strong.

No kit, I bought a side of leather and started from there. Its not hard, just takes a bit of time to get patterns and all worked out.

Nice job!! I just ordered a pile of leather working tools... should be here monday!! Now to buy some cowhide and I'll try to make some stuff!

Can you show the back of that holster? I am trying to picture how the holster can slide thru that slot..... how hard were the loops to make? Looks pretty nice!

That looks like a fine job. The knife sheath is my favorite style for real use (and the belt, slide, and holster looks like it fills the bill, also).

That's a nice looking rig, and it can be addicting :)

get the leather good and wet when folding it over and inserting the holster into the loops help.
