Since my BX25s have been on backorder for 8 months now, with no delivery time forecast, I ordered a HC3R, got it in a week, and let me tell you, these are going to put the BX25 on the trailer. Way better than the BXs' I have already!!
They have a spring button on the side like the pistol mags, so you don't have to wear your finger down getting the last rounds in. Also have a 20 round reserve stripper clip.
Go to the HC3R web site to get a good look.

I don't care if I never get the BXs'.

Where on earth did you order them from? My goodness .... those mags are everywhere around here. You sure they didn't lose your order or just take your money??

I ordered mine from Rugers web site in something like Jan and got them in late Feb. Now they're even at local retailers. And .... a LGS here had a PILE of steel lip Butler Creeks for about $20.00 earlier this week.

My local Cabela's had had them in stock for 2 months now, CDNN sports on line has had them for the last 4 or 5 months now, sounds like it's time to cancel your back order and look else where.

Gave CDNN a call - my BX25 mags were at my door in six days.
- Asked for free shipping and got $4.99 shipping for a $45 order. Quick and exact, just fine with me.

MIDWAY!!!! Good price ($21.00) but might as well be free if they can't deliver. And yes, Ruger did lose my order. They say they had my CC info, but didn't know what I'd ordered, and didn't bother to call and ask.
VERY POOR customer service from both, IMHO. HR has my mag business from now on.

Comment on the BX25 mags I've used:

In the beginning I was very enthusiastic, as the 2 I bought worked very well.

Then I got 5 more.....of which 3 jammed consistently and I was unable to effect repair.

Ruger did replace them.....and 2 of those 3 were a problem.

I had also bought a number of other BX25 Ruger factory made.

Nearly 50% of them have proven unreliable for use in Steel Challenge matches.

Don't know what I'll do with them, tired of the hassle.

Fortunately, the factory 10 round versions have been glitch free.

YMMV

Take a look at the HC3R. I personally think it is waaaay ahead of the BX25. Mine has worked flawlessly right outta the package, and they delivered it in a week.

That's alot of magazine body for only 20 rounds... Thanks for sharing your experiences, but for 20 rounds I think I prefer two factory 10-rounders coupled together. Cost about the same as well.

9x19: the way I saw the video, the body has space to hold 20 in addition to the 25 actually in the firing column....so it 'holds' 45 total rounds at a time....seems like a neat trick....IF it works.

I'm going to hunt one of these down to see what I might find in person.

You load 20 rounds from the "stripper" clip, then you may add 5 more manually to get 25 in the body, and still have the side well filled w/20 rounds that pick up very quickly using either the extra (included) stripper, or just use the one you just emptied. In all I find it is faster than two or three 10 rounders connected, because there is less mag switching. Just depends on your "need for speed".

Cowboy, do you work for these guys or something?

I have never seen any of these mags anywhere except on the internet. Not even the big Crossroads shows.

No, I don't work for them, but were there an opening for a PR guy, I'd take it. I just went searching for mags for the 10-22 since I couldn't get the BX25s I (STILL) have on backorder, and I don't like the cheapie plastic ones (butler creek etc). I ran across their website and decided to take a chance and bought one. It came in a week, and has worked flawlessly. I am going to order at least two more.
I especially like the side spring button you can depress to load instead of trying to cram the rounds in with your thumb as in the BX25.
This is MHO, your milage may vary.

BX25 mags were all over The Nation's Gun Show In Chantilly this past weekend. From $29 to $36.I bought a BX25x2 for $50.

I s'pose if a feller tries hard enough, he can make any magazine fail.

Since I've not yet figured out how to make my Ruger mags fail, I'll keep buying them and keep saving money. They are very available, locally.

WAYNO.

Best of the day to you WAYNO. There are still NO BX25s available locally in my area, and the ones I have on Midway B/O (going on 9 months now) are paid for at $21.00 ea. You should sorta' be able to see why I'm upset. As to making a mag fail, it's not that they fail that often, I just don't like the cheapie plastic ones. This is a personal preference.
