hello, I'm a new member from New Mexico. i was wondering what the difference was between the 265 and the 268 prefix. on the the stainless fixed sight Vaquero style Single-Six.

Where is this coming from? I cannot find a Vaquero style Single Six in stainless. Got a link?

it was model # 00653 catalog # GKNR-5F

Welcome to the forum,
The 268 prefix is the correct prefix for NM FS Single-Six's, a few were numbered with the adjustable sight model's prefix of 265 a scarce variation for sure.
