MKIII Compensator

Could someone tell me how often to remove the compensator from the gun for cleaning? I just put it in my new Ruger Hunter using welders antspatter spray as everyone recommended. Thanks for the help. Cheryl

I have only shot mine with the comp on once. It's a slip on with a o-ring gasket. it is going to be used by a friend of mine this weekend. I will see how hard it is to remove Sunday, and report in.

why would you need to remove it for cleaning?
Why could you not leave it on?

As to how often I'd remove the comp for cleaning,, I would say not too often. UNLESS you start seeing any kind of buildup of crud. That shouldn't happen unless the comp isn't square & is causing some shaving of lead,, or trapping powder residue.
