Not to steal the thread but I'll get my new mkIII next week & am looking for extra mags. Can anyone advise where I can pick up a few? Thanks from a Texas newbie.

When you complete the warranty registration on Ruger's website, they will give you a discount code which you can use to order magazines, etc. from their Shop Ruger on-line store.

if you cant find them locally, cabelas has them in stock and currently on sale.

I like the BBQ Brisket sandwich from Cabelas deli, which is always a good deal, otherwise 98.6% of the time they are always overpriced ... you can always find something cheaper somewhere else even when its "ON SALE" from Cabelas. try Midway USA >>> http://www.midwayusa.com/Product/20...-45-mark-ii-22-long-rifle-10-round-steel-blue <<< Cabelas runs on Brand Name recognition like it better or something

I remember buying them for $10 back in the 80's.....
Now I'm seeing them for $22-25 at local gun shows.

I used to buy a soda pop for 10cents and if you returned the bottle you got a nickle back. Today it costs $1.39. Ohh the good old days. lol.

As a small kid I used to collect soda bottles until I had .25 cents ... then I'd go buy a bottle of Nesbitts Orange Soda and a pack of twinkes and get .04 cents back.

((( 1976 ))) .... $20.00 filled my gas tank, bought a pizza and movie for my girlfriend and I and I went home with a couple of bucks in my pocket ...... LMAO !!!!!!
