I want to use a adjustable rear sight on my MKII Standard 4.5" bb. Can the (blade) front sight of a Ruger MKII Standard be replaced with a (blade) front sight from a Ruger MKII Target? Will the pin fit or align correctly?

Nope, the 5.5" Target model sight attaches with a screw, and the tapered target models have a larger diameter muzzle, so the front sight band isn't as tall where the sight is pinned.

There are adjustable rears that will work with the factory front, made by PSI. I have one on my 22/45 with 4 5/8 barrel.

Look at these two and you'll see what I mean about the front sight pin location.

Note that the barrel diameter of the lower pistol is larger than the top pistol. If the sight fit, you'd still need more height because the base would be lower.

I was thinking of using the front sight of the 22/45 Target 5.25" on the MKII Standard which has a taller base so the sight will seat higher..
