Depending if no rust pitting, good blueing, box and papers they will actually bring MORE then a Mk III at auction. I would not hesitate to pay as much as a new Mk III for one, if I was looking. Thank goodness I got mine when I did, they are much better then Mk III models IMHO. I saw a NIB 4.5" Standard sell at gun show for $300 back in the spring and if guy would have passed I was standing behind him ready to pounce. I would like another one so as each grandson would have one someday.

I paid 159 bux for a brand new one two years ago over in the U.P. It was one of those 50TH ANNIVERSARY models but I won't hold that against it. It shoots like a million bucks and has over 8500 rounds through it now as we speak.

A used Mk II stainless standard is shown on a local GS website for $295.
