Could you give me a good idea on what would be a good sling for my Mini? There are a lot out there from leather, rubber neoprene etc. all price ranges. Your input would be appreciated. Thanks

I didn't do a lot orf shopping around, but I bought the Ruger nylon sling from MidwayUSA for about $15.00.
Haven't put it on the mini-14 yet, but it looks great - black with a red Ruger eagle.

For the Mini, I would suggest either the Outdoor Connection Super Sling or Outdoor Connection Super Sling II.

The Super Sling works well with Mini's with 1" sling swivels

The Super Sling II works well with Mini's with 1-1/4" slng swivels

I find that it is the most useful sling a person can put on a light rifle. (The only rifle I have a padded cobra sling on is my M77 VLE with Leupold 4-14x50 LR scope, and bipod, but it weighs someting like 12 lbs) My Mini-30, M77 MKII synthetic boat paddle stock, and Bushmaster M-4 all have the outdoor connection slings on them.

The Super sling can be quickly adjusted for length. The nylon is also somewhat soft, so you can wrap your arm (thatyou hold your forearm) in the sling and it will provide extra support. Use of that sling really helps with my practical field accuracy when shooting 100-150 yards with my Mini-30.
