Mini 14 red dot/hand guard/rail

Good day. Anyone have any recommendations concerning the addition of a nice rail and a red dot for a mini14. Post 582#. It the tactical version with flash suppressor!

There are mounts that adapt Ruger integral base to picatinny style 'rail'. I'm not sure if any of those fit the Mini. I haven't even handled a Mini for decades but the most often mount I saw in the past was fitted into the ejector cover(?) or whatever that little plate is on the left action rail. It doesn't take much to mount the smaller dot optics--much less than required for a scope since the dot optics are so much smaller & lighter.

Samson makes a very nice hand guard rail combo. It's not cheap, but you get a quality piece.
