Mini 14 factory folder

I've got a chance to pick up a SS factory folder for about $700.00. I've heard the older Mini 14s were not very accurate. Are they accurate. I have thought about getting an AR15 style rifle but I like the looks and the size of the Mini 14 folder better. Would the Mini 14 folder be a good dependable gun?

It is dependable but not usually accurate. Accuracy will depend on the rifle as well as the type of ammo you shoot.

Now, $700 for a stainless steel mini-14 factory folder is a great price.... but, I would be very suspect that it is actually a factory folder... what makes me even more suspicious as you say you like the looks of this gun... I never thought the factory folders looked that good with their combined metal, plastic and wood.
