Hey Guys, I've been inactive for a while, but I do read the post every now and then. Now I have a question. I've looked at some of the videos on youtube and all I find is basically the same. what I want to know if there is anyone who has a link on how to disassemble, to actually breakdown the bolt on a Mini, so that the firing pin can be replaced. All I find is how to remove the entire bolt, and put it back. I've known how to breakdown and clean, oil, and lube then reassemble my Mini-14 since I've had it. I need to know how to breakdown the BOLT. A few years ago I was at a shoot and my FP broke, and even though I had a replacement, I couldn't do anything, even the on sight Gunsmith? didn't know how. I figure with all the experience here someone should know. Thanks.

If you've got the "Ranch Rifle" version, remove the extractor, plunger and spring.
If you've got an older Mini, you'll also have to remove the ejector Ass'y.
Once the other parts are out, the firing pin slides out from the rear.

Unless you've got three hands, a padded vice helps a lot.
Watch for flying parts. Your best bet there is work within a gallon-sized freezer bag once the bolt is secured in the vice.

Hope this helps.
