Has anyone installed the front and rear meprolight night sights on a GP100? If so, I would appreciate your opinion of their utility. I am considering them because, first, I am not that far from a cataract procedure on both eyes and have trouble seeing the bull at the range. Second, I assume that they are helpful at night to any pair of eyes. Also, can an admitted mechanical idiot install them or would it be better to use a gunsmith? Thanks

Another member just put them on his gun but we haven't heard a range report. Most say the front sight needs some filing to make fit right and the back sight can be a little tricky cause the parts are small. A gunsmith wouldn't charge much it you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself.
