Took my new Max 9 California compliant to the range today and fed it 150 rounds of range ammo. It performed flawlessly and I was pleasantly surprised that the "snappy" recoil that I'd heard so much about never materialized. I've been working out with weights pretty regularly and I think my increase in muscle mass has made a difference in my wrist/forearm strength. I just turned 80 and everything has come together with this new Ruger. This is my first striker fired pistol as I've always had hammer fired over the years (Colt, Beretta, Seecamp, etc.), and I chose the CA compliant model for extra safety. The trigger was great with the reset crisp, really love it. I now fire a 9mm, 380, and 32 in succession--lot's of fun!

AS a Max 9 owner it good to hear. When they came out Ruger put out a product that still has some kinks and they were whipped pretty badly. It looks like they got it all fixed from the reviews and your firsthand experience
