Untrue.
When REMINGTON bought Marlin, they bought all the equipment, the name, and plans. They ran it into the ground until they figured out how to fix the issues but by then it was too late.
Ruger bought the name and designs and only until they could reproduce in better fashion what Marlin had invented, they did nothing. When the time came, Ruger started building their own version of a Marlin.
Way different concepts. No where in the process should anyone have expected Ruger to stock or to reproduce parts made by another company.
It makes me wonder if buying the name was worth it? Ruger could have just started making Marlin style lever actions and we would have bought them.
