Traded in my 3 month old Mark III standard for a used Mark III 22/45 with a red dot already mounted. When I release the slide I get a little noise that's almost a slight rattle as the slide hits home. Kind of sounds like the slide is bouncing as it hits bottom and hitting multiple times. I don't remember my Standard making the same sound. I don't think it's the red dot making the sound. Maybe I'm using the wrong terminology. Substitute bolt for slide if that's the right word.

Haven't shot the gun yet but it sure has a sweet trigger compared to the Standard I traded in.

Welcome to the Forum!
I'm not sure as to your rattle,, but I'd wait & see how it shoots. There are some differences in the MKI, MKII, and MKIII. But not much differences in the bolt.
There was an interesting video clip, in slow motion a few months back showing the bolt in a MK pistol "bouncing" as it was fired. Kinda interesting.
Try it to see how it performs!
