I replaced the original sear in my brand new 22/45 and ran into a big problem. This doesn't happen every time it's cycled but more hit and miss. Problem is two fold. Occasionally it will not fire or worse off, when the slide goes shut it fires. I discovered this before I have put any ammo in the gun. Good thing.
When I first noticed it, I tore it back down and re assembled it. Thought I had it fixed and after 20 or so dry fires, it is doing it again.
Any idea as to what I have done wrong. It didn't do this until I installed the Volq. sear.
Would appreciate any help!
