I recently bought a nice little stainless MKII with 5+'' bbl.
Unfortunately it didn't come with the box and docs but for the price I can't complain.
I got to shoot it today and was thoroughly pleased but noticed the left grip panel doesn't have a Ruger medallion. The right panel has the black background Ruger phoenix.
Did Ruger ever offer a factory grip in this configuration or is one of my grip panels an off-brand replacement?
The texture and material look the same, just wondering...my OCD is kicking in :?

I could have sworn, my Govt Target had the medallion on both sides but it's been a while since I let her go.
If that's the factory configuration then it doesn't bother me... too much.

I've only owned a 22/45 and Govt Target, both had both medallions.
Must have been the later versions. I thought this one may have had a replacement grip due to only one medallion.
It's a great shooter....

I believe when they switched to the red background logos was when they switched to the logos on both grip panels except the wood target grips.

Yep....1999.
