I have the opportunity to purchase NIB a Mark I 25th anniversary model. What is a fair price?? Seller is asking around $600.00, seems high to me.

Welcome to the Forum!
Are you sure it's a 25th anniversary model & not a 50th anniversary model??
I don't recall a 25th anniversary model being made. But the 50th anniversary models are available for closer to $400 or less NIB.

yep, that was entirely different, those were to 'mark'?? the "end" of the "Mark I" and the coming of the "new Mark II's in 1982....yes, , those "Signature" models numbered in the 5ooo made, but $600 is too high far as we're concerned.......see them in the $450-499 range around here from time to time...saw a "used" one for $350 back in the spring..... nope we didn't bother to make the guy an offer either......

Notice that the gun in question was made in 1981,,, not 1974. The stainless signature series guns were done at the end of the production of the MKI as mentioned above,, and then the MKII was introduced at the 1982 SHOT Show,,, I know,, as I was there to see a pair of 2 digit guns,,, and talked to Bill the same day.
And as mentioned above,,, the price of $600 for it is too high.
