Oh yes.... Don Findley's special #1130, made for his friend Russell Sims in 1957 also has small serial numbers, but being made in 1957, it has a non-Inc. receiver address.

yes indeed, and what makes all this collecting so interesting, and to either take GOOD NOTES ( like Jeff M., always said about Chet15) and to look at serial numbers of any old Rugers you see at any given gun show or even gun shop...........;):cool::rolleyes:

and back to idehos gun, it is a NICE one, just make 'er right again.......

Wow, thanks everyone! Great information from all. I will get hold of Ruger and see if I can get a letter.
Does anyone one know someone who might have the proper sight or grips they would be willing to sell?
I was born in 1950 , still have my Marlin Mountie 22 I got when I was 14. I like old quality.
When you get a chance start a thread about that Mountie. Id enjoy seeing pictures of it.
