I acquired a NIB M77R Flatbolt 243 in a trade. The box and papers are complete and in excellent/new condition, as is the rifle. The serial number is 70-19XX. I believe it was shipped in March of 1969. It has the cut-out stock and the bolt guide...making it a common flatbolt. However, it is NIB and has a little figure in the buttstock.

The question: what is it worth in today's market? Thanks up front!

ps...it is not for sale....yet.

Given the current economy is the key to your answer. I have seen prices from $700 to $1200 being asked but getting it would be another question. A year or so ago it would probably fetch $800 or so. Now I think $700-800 would be about all for a more common M77R 243 even NIB. Also your location may play a part. Your rifle should have a bolt guide. I have never heard of a no bolt guide gun above 3 digit non prefix guns. The cut down eject port was pretty much used on all rifles beyond 70-0xxxx. Enjoy your rifle - not many left NIB! :!:
