Hey all,

I was recently given my dads M77 MK1 7mm Mag. I am in the midst of redoing it. New stock, barrel, trigger etc. I am having a heck of a time with removal of the roll pin that attaches the trigger to the action. I have soaked in PB blaster and tried to knock it out with a small punch. I am fearful of hitting it too hard as it seems a more delicate piece to be whacking with a hammer. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience removing this small roll pin? I am out of ideas !

Thanks in advanced for any help.

A properly fitted 'roll pin punch' would be a good start. This will prevent or reduce buggering of the roll pin(and the area around the hole) during dis-assembly. I invested in a set of these use specific punches long ago and have not regretted the cost.
