You win some and you lose some. I delved outside of my knowledge area and purchased this very early M77 flat bolt, serial number 481, with a package of Ruger single actions thinking it was a factory sighted gun. Only later to find out from those in the know that the gun was not shipped from Ruger with the sights. The original barrel was drilled and tapped to add the, most likely, Remington sights. The plan was to keep it tucked away and find a loose period correct 308 barrel to put on it to make it right, but it has sat here in my office as a daily reminder of my follies of leaving my comfort zone. Other than the extra holes in the top of the barrel it is a very nice gun and worthy of a replacement barrel but that is probably not going to be me. The pictures highlight the minimum other issues. I have a set of new rings, stamped 4 and 5, that I will throw in with it if the buyer wants the newer set.
SOLD $1400 shipped. As always, a posted "I'll take it" has priority over a PM message for time stamp. I am on the road for work a lot during the week so a posted "I'll take it" is recommended as it could be most of the day before I see any PM's. No electronic payments but a personal check is accepted for long standing forum members.
A payment plan is an option. PM for details.
