M77 1984-85 change?

I believe that's when Ruger made their change in the overtravel adjustment screw on the earlier M77's. I don't remember the specifics now, but remember the factory sending a allen wrench and instructions to everybody with older M77's.
I wasn't able to bring Ruger's PDF up on the safety icon on their web page, but believe that's what this change has to do with.
Probably something I need to be putting in the reference.

The safety changed with the introduction of the Mark II series of rifles.

I'm not sure why Ruger has the dates of manufacture broken up into two different sections on this. Just checked the trigger overtravel adjustment safety notice and it is for guns built 1968 to 1991.

I'm not aware of any other internal changes in the 1984 to 1985 timeframe.

I think he means the change in the tang safety. Early ones locked the bolt closed. Later ones didn't. Transition rifles had receiver slots and bolt notches without anything using them.
