I see one locally for "pennies" and wondered if they are cheap junk or decent shooters. It is a Remington 1858 replica made by Fillipetta. Any info would be appreciated.

I went ahead and bought it yesterday in excellent condition since it was only 125.00 and came with a second cylinder still wrapped in plastic. I of course have been wanting an Old Army, but I keep finding OM Blackhawks that I can't pass up thus my money gets spent there, so if I really enjoy and use this one alot I may just have to break down and get the burly Old Army for heavy use.

Good buy. I bought an Armi San Marco about a year ago for 100 bucks. Was told they weren't a high quality gun but my son and I have got more than my moneys worth out of it already. Rates near the top on the fun factor meter. Enjoy
