You don't need to worry about the loud trigger. My concern is with the trigger pull weight. I bought a new 9.3x74R and it's trigger pull is over 4lbs. Which I think is terrible for a fine rifle with no way to adjust it.
So you have two options either hone the trigger or buy an aftermarket set trigger either way is costly.
I have a #1 with a Kepplinger single set trigger which sell for about $260 US but most all of my other #1's I stone the triggers to 30oz-32oz which I actuall like better than the set trigger that does not adjust the unset pull weight.
So you have to stone the unset weight to suit you before you install the set trigger.
The older #1's had a nice adjustable triggers which is gone with the Todo birds. I think it is high time Ruger addressed the #1 triggers.
