Looking for top grade stag grips for nm Blackhawk

I have a nm blackhawk, 4 5/8 blue. I purchased a set of stag grips off ebay. They were thin, very porous. Anybody know where a nice looking set of thick, first cut stag grips could be purchased for these guns. Thanks

No first hand experience yet but a fellow forum member pointed me to a gentlman named Charles Spresser in Riceville, Tn. He lists some stuff on GB as CT Gunsmithing. His web site has good contact info.

You can also check with Bill Jennings of Cody WY. I'm not sure of his website but he uses American Elk antler.

I also say that you should go with sack peterson. He stands behind his work. I just bought another set from him. His work is first rate plus his grips are made in the USA not imported.

Charles Spresser does outstanding work on 1911s but he cuts his single action grips a little on the thin side.
