So, I was bored and started looking at our local police arrest mugshots.
A little bit blown away. Huge percentage of people from MANY other areas of the world.
I am not making any kind of snarky racist remark. Idaho is pretty much a conservative Caucasian place. So, to see so many mugshots of folks with names I cannot pronounce
is a bit of a shock. Huge percentage of the arrested were in for violent crimes. I am all for diversity, but not for crime.
Have you noticed an uptick of something like this in your area?

My area (Houston) is literally a melting pot, unlike Idaho. In my neighborhood alone, we have whites, Hispanics (of multiple persuasions), Blacks, Africans, Indians/Pakis (dot, not feather), Vietnamese, Chinese, and Korean. It's odd how most of the mug shots that I see are predominantly either of whites or Blacks, though, with a smattering of Hispanics.

I too have watched the large rise in the very diverse population in our areas. Yet,, I also have noticed the very same thing. The largest percentage of criminals,,, seem to be of just a few types.
White, Black or Hispanic.
I'm NOT racist,, and I do not see this topic as racist, or anything other than a discussion of criminals & crimes they've committed.
I'll add that OFTEN the link to much of it stems from drugs. Until we get HARSH upon drug users and dealers,, the problems will just keep rising, and get worse & worse. Rehab in a nice facility has a low rate of success from what I've seen. The user has to WANT to get clean, stay clean, and actually become a hard working productive member of society before it'll work.
And as long as there are users,, there will be dealers who see it as a way to work less & make lots of money. They deal in a product that's not taxed, nor easily traced. And if they aren't severely punished when caught, no deterrent to prevent them from going right back at it.
I can speak from experience,, as I have estranged family members who are thugs & criminals. Miss Penny's brother,, his (2) son's, a first cousin all immediately come to mind.

Some years back at a town hall type meeting on of the public was chastising the police representative for overwhelmingly arresting minorities for crimes. After shouts denouncing police actions a representative (they must have been there before) stepped up and began reading the numbers.

What came out was yes, more minorities were arrested in a disproportionate ratio to the population. More shouts from the crowd. He then had specific numbers showing that the reason more minorities were arrested was that they committed crimes in numbers well above their percentage of the population.

He ended by stating simply that more minorities are arrested because more minorities committed crimes.

Just an observation: I was amused by Enigma's use of the term, 'melting pot' to describe the various races, ethnic groups, etc. in his area. I have not heard that term since high school and our instructor telling us that the U.S. is not really a melting pot, at least not like Brazil. That was a true melting pot where many races and ethnic groups actually intermix and unlike in the U.S. they stay in their own groups, neighborhoods, gangs, etc.
I was also amused by the fact that when I was reading Enigma's comment I was/am playing a CD by the musical group Enigma. My son loaned me his copy of LSD; Love, Sensuality and Devotion. I sent away for my own copy and liked it so much, I played it for six months straight, not listening to any other music. It really appealed to me.

Please excuse my biased and (prejudiced) old man's opinion, but if the government (Demons) keep letting these criminals enter the country illegally (Hence, "criminals") then we should all be rounding them up, arresting them and deporting them BEFORE they can do any more damage to our citizens.

Some of them seem to make the circle every 3-5 years and end up back where they started. I was living in Grand Island, Nebraska when ICE came and raided the packing plants here. The town was quiet for about a week, before they all returned.

There are signs on the southern side of the border, telling them to come work here.

Just like the Grizzly and the wolf before protected status was removed and we got to start shooting them, when there is no fear or repercussions to actions, they lose all fear. Hence Griz coming to the sound of a gunshot and wolves eating calves as they are being birthed. These criminal, no count pieces of waste are doing the same thing. They prey on the weak because there are no consequences to their action. They claim they are being hassled by the man and the bleeding heart liberals shed their tears for the "poor souls" that have Been treated so unfairly. The wolf is difficult to put a bullet in now that we are issued tags, they learned in short order that they are no longer a protected species, hopefully the Grizzly will learn in the same fashion as soon as the liberal bunny humpers run out of court injunctions. So really by studying this dynamic of the griz and the wolf the best option is to treat these criminals with swift and meaningful punishment, that is the only way to make them return to the dark timber and mind their manners. But I digress, the pussification of this country will never allow that to happen. They will keep allowing it to degrade until there is nothing left of resemblance to our beautiful country that was built on merit and hard work.

If you were a foreign violent criminal in trouble with the law in your own country, why wouldn't you move to the US? And if you got into trouble here, why wouldn't you simply move to another part of the US using a different name...since you have no ID anyway?

America as we have known it and the one we grew up in is long gone and will never be back. If you are 50 years old or older you have witnessed the death of our country. It is not ours any longer. It belongs to the special interests and foreigners that we (no read that our Congress) has allowed this travesty to happen. Your Scottish comment reminded me of an old joke that plays on the stereotype that Scottish people very frugal and that some people have negative opinions about lawyers. An America was visiting a cemetery in Scotland when he saw a head stone that read, "Here lies a lawyer and an honest man." My wife still watches Outlander because she thinks Jamie is hot. I haven't bothered with it since Claire stopped doing topless scenes. I never really did pay all that much attention to the show but my wife used to yell out to me, "Boobies, honey!", and I would look over.
