I picked up a new 77/357 the other day and would like to make up some rounds for it
I don't have any 2400-H110-or w296. With todays market I'm not even looking for this powder.
What I do have is Unique, HP38, Titegroup, Bullseye
Bullets are Hornady 158gr. FP-XTP, Remington 125gr. JHP
So out of these what would give me the best load for the 77/357.
Thanks for any input.

I use Unique and no. 9 for my 77/357 with great success.

The FP XTP is a good bullet but none of those powders will give you great performance. Slower powders will show a lot more velocity out of a rifle. I shoot Accurate #9 and H-110 and get very good results. Of the powders you listed Unique would probably be the best but the HP-38 meters a lot better. :D

Off the cuff, Unique is the slowest powder you have listed, with HP38 coming in second, from memory. Those powders are mostly suited to cast slugs, and smaller cases. Agree with Jimbo, none are ideal, but if you can get an accurate load with the Unique, that will be the fastest, with HP38 coming in second.
