These were hard to find when new 24 years ago and are really scarce today. Limited edition special distributor model BNV-224-SI, a fixed sight Single Six with the Vaquero style "pinched frame" rear sight, Vaquero style case color finish on the frame, Vaquero style steel grip frame and steel ejector rod housing, and even a Vaquero style catalog number beginning with "BNV". These nifty revolvers were equipped with synthetic ivory "Ivorex" grips with the Ruger eagle logo laser etched in to simulate scrimshaw. These were single cylinder revolvers in .22 LR only, and made in two barrel lengths, this one has the desirable 4-5/8" tube, the other length being 5.5". Condition is as new in the box with no wear evident, no turn line, and bright vibrant case coloring. Includes the papers, fired case, and old style yellow Ruger cable lock. The date on the fired case envelope is 08/20/2001. About 600 were made from 2001 to 2003. I am tempted to keep this one because it is a slightly lower serial number than the one in my collection that I bought new in 2002, but I can't keep them all
