According to the RENE Guide,, (which is most often the best source of info,,) 1959 was when it was shipped.
If you can't find a correct base pin,, double back here & I can look & see if I have a spare.

Ruger will send you one for free (anything under ($20), call (336) 949-5200
They probably won't have the old model cyl pin but the new model works just as well and looks the same when installed. But at least it's free until you find the old style if it matters that much to you.
