Gunblast Shot Show report #2 showed it, stainless, 4 5/8 barrel Bisley in 454, Yeehaw factor 1000000000000 for a heavy 45 Colt backcountry hiking revolver and Alaskan fishing trip warm fuzzy

An ideal packing revolver that will shoot any 45 Colt load, 45 Schofields, Starlines new 45 Special, and even 454's if the need arises. An excellent idea. Bob!!

I couldn't make my mind up either...
So I went with one of each in 454C & 480R with 5.5" barrels, keeping the Full length ERH.

I think 5 1/2" barrel is much better balanced, but being able to carry a nice easy to holster 45 Colt with backup 454 rounds on you just in case you need to stop a runaway Peterbuilt....priceless

Great for backpacking on the trails...yes. But then that's why I got the DA Alaskan in .45/.454!

No doubt a sweet sidearm for fish'n and camp'n with big toothy predators that want to eat you. I would feel well protected. had an early FA in 4 5/8" with fixed sights,, one I wish I had back!

It is a handful with full throttle loads heavy doses if H110 and a 340 grain cast slug was my favorite load,, not many would shoot it, those I could con into it usually stopped after one shot, most it drew blood on.

Not that bad if you roll with it, but most try and hold it down with a death grip,, it usually bit em.
