I'm looking for a picture of a lightweight sticker box, have not seen one, but heard of them. For the lightweight "S" models in August 1964??
Anyone have one that would share a picture? If you PM me I'll send my email, hard to post pictures here these days.
Thanks, Hank

Per RENE! Those "S" Lightweights were also shipped in regular black wreath Light Weight box and also RSS5 Single-Six boxes without the "Lightweight" label pasted over the RSS5 label. So any of 3 boxes could be correct for a "S" Light Weight.

I wonder if there were many Black Wreath lightweight boxes left, maybe?? 5 years had gone by after they discontinued them!! Who knows! Maybe some old time worker out there.

Major difference being that RENE lists a regular ol' RSS5 box at $105, with the actual "Lightweight" variations at a whole bunch more.

And the RSS5 box would theoretically be "correct" for a Lightweight.

I should have taken a picture of my NIB with shipper black wreath box that came with an "S" gun inside....

The sticker box came with an "S" gun marked on the bottom.....RR

RR,
Let's see more pictures!!

There are quite a few "S" Lightweights out there that have blackwreath boxes with them. So I really think most of the "S" guns had everything with them at the time they were designated "second", they just sat in shipping (or somewhere) until it was decided to rework them because of their problems or until Ruger was ready to ship them out to one or two distributors all in one shot in 1964/1965
The last supply of blackwreath boxes were actually shipped out about 1960.
