I was in San Jose visiting a friend and we were going over the mountain's to the ocean. We passed Alice's restraint and started down hill. A chill went up my back and I realized we were "riding the snake" per The End by the Doors. Ride the snake to the lake. That was a bizarre sensation.

Well, I'm out in left field with a catcher's mitt. I grew up about the same time period, but my music was country and western, and more western. I listened to Roy Acuff, The Renfro Valley Boys, Eddy Arnold, Tex Ritter, Gene Steele. Also a liberal sprinkling of Roy Rogers and Gene Autry.
