Today I traded into a 1984 No. 1 RSI in 7X57. It came with a Leupold Vari-X III 2.5-8X scope with the Ruger crest instead of the normal Leupold emblem. I’ve never seen one like it before

I'm a big Leupold fan, but never seen that before. Cool. And that 2.5-8x is about the best all-around scope for it's size and weight I've ever found. I have several of them. For the woods on our to moderate long range, I think it's hard to beat.

I have a silver Leupold 2.5-8 on my K1-B 35 Rem. (bottom)

The RSI (Top) started life as a 7x57, re-barreled to 35 Rem. has a Leupold 1.25-4X VX-R Hog scope. This is my deer gun.

The 7x57 take-off barrel ended up on a No 3 action and became a No2 RSI Youth (middle) for the grand-kids to use for deer hunting. This has an older VX-2 1-4X on it.
