I'll start!

I've only got three and so far not a true "mil-spec" variant. I'd like to get an old Colt 1911 someday.... For now, one Kimber and two Colts.

Kimber Pro TLE II .45 ACP w/ CT lasergrip and night sights

S7300052.jpg

Colt Lightweight Commander - Lots of nice features, wish it had night sights.

Colt Delta Elite 10mm. This guns is about 15 years old. A very solid chunk of steel. I can't wait to shoot this one.

Sorry for the ho-hum pictures. Kind of hectic around here. Couldn't really set up good shots.

This poor 1911 has been sentenced to a life in the safe. It's only crime was, it's too beautiful.

Then there's this one, and although it's not a cheap gun, it's the one that I don't worry about getting dirty, or looking "used". It also happens to be as accurate as the most accurate 1911 I've ever shot.

I have but one...

I bought it used. A dealer had a BUNCH of 1911s on the shelves so it seemed to me to be a good time to try to make a purchase.

This Springfield Armory looked brand new...the guy who bought it had the on-site gunsmith pull every S.A. part out (sans frame and slide) and install Colt parts...I know...what the heck???

After he got the gun...he traded it back for a Colt the next week.

I got it and darn nice trigger job for $350.00 OTD...I can deal with that.

I have no need or desire for another 1911.

I've owned Springers, Colts, Para's, Mitchell's, AMT's, DW's and a few Kimbers. My wife shoots a Pro Carry II in 9mm and all I own now is this older Classic Custom born in May of '97.

A switch barrel 40S&W/10mm.

And a "Commander" 45 that I built many years ago. I recently had the old Kings sights swapped out for the Novak adjustable and front dovetailed blade.

Wayno, the more beautiful a gun is the more I want to shoot it.

In many cases, I would agree. There's a few guns in my world, however, that I cannot bring myself to shoot. Or, they were shot in their early life, and then retired.

1960's National Match U.S. Army armorer built on 1911 frame, trigger pull was too light for carry so I switched out the parts and removed the adjustable sights
